Works on Paper

Cacaphony (sic), 1958, mixed media on paper, 28 x 20. Dusti Bongé Art Foundation.

A broad range of works of media on paper from throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, executed is a variety of media.

In addition to the many large paintings Dusti Bongé produced during her abstract expressionist years, she also created a significant body of works on paper. Here again, she experimented with various scales, media, colors and compositional approaches.  Many of these works on paperwere also exhibited at the Betty Parsons gallery in both her solo and group shows.

From the mid 1960s until the late 1970s Dusti Bongé's focus shifted increasingly to creating works on paper. There are works on paper in the large range (30"  x 24"), as well as very small works (8" x 5"). In addition, this rich period of exploration features work in tempera, acrylic, ink, watercolor, spray paint or a mix of various of these media.
